The ESA-JAXA Pre-launch Science and Validation Workshop was held from 13 to 17 November 2023 at ESRIN, Frascati (Italy) and was organised jointly by ESA and JAXA. The first half of the workshop was dedicated to science presentations and discussions; the validation sessions started on 15 Nov afternoon until the closing on 17 Nov. The validation part of the workshop consisted of oral, poster presentations, live demonstrations of the validation tools/services, and a panel discussion. A wide variety of validation topics were covered, which included lessons learned from past/current missions, validation best practices, airborne campaigns, ground-based networks, validation plans and status of ESA and JAXA teams, Cal/Val tools.
